“Resilience is very different than being numb. Resilience means you experience, you feel, you fail, you hurt. You fall. But, you keep going.” ~ Yasmin Mogahed
Jumping Out Of a Perfectly Good Airplane…
Have you ever wanted to just jump out of a plane…
Do some freeform spirals…
Feel the wind beneath your wings…
Pull the cord…
And watch the chute open, floating you gracefully to the ground?
Lots of people do it once.
Some often. Some make a career of it:)
Resilience Is Like That…
We fall. We hurt. We fall. We hurt some more.
Maybe it’s just a series of little hurts. Scratches, really.
Maybe it’s really big hurts. Life-changing in fact.
Then there is death.
This is a category of hurt… pain that cannot be explained… torment to your soul.
In all cases, we have to work at becoming Resilient… and ultimately, Grateful for the experience.
This can be hard work. But it is never child’s play.
My advice is this. Pray, hope, love, let it hurt, pick yourself up, and just do ANYTHING to start positive movement.
I Found This Prayer For Guidance & Resilience:
Heavenly Father, thank you for your protection and guidance. Thank you for sticking by my side through all of my life’s ups and downs. Because you are at my side, I know and believe that no matter what life throws at me, I will always come out on top. Father, things are going wrong in my life again, and I’m starting to feel gloomy. But, because I have you, I know I don’t have to be concerned or worried. Instead, I come before you in prayer, to pray for resilience.
Please revive my spirit and refresh my soul. Please give me wisdom and direct my steps as I try to climb back up. Calm my heart and instill strength and hope in me. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for replenishing my strength. Thank you for causing me to fly to new heights. Thank you for assisting me in regaining my footing. Amen
Hope…
Your hope, as is mine, is that we will grow stronger and more Resilient each day.
From experience, I can tell you that this can happen.
But some days you will not see it. You will be knocked around, back, and down.
It will feel like only bad things happen to good people.
But I promise this. A month from now, you will look back and see that you didn’t just lay there.
You got back up.
This is a VERY big deal.
God Bless,
Eric Richard Haas
GRACE NOTE: Look back. What was your single biggest take-down? Think about it right now. How will you get back up and moving again?
