“Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.” ~ Walter Anderson
Choose Life…
For many of us, the dark times define our life.
And darken our future.
It is important to remember that no one is happy all the time.
No one is sad all the time.
The highs and lows of our life define the rhythm of our beliefs, faith, and actions.
When we have lost someone we care deeply for, we believe that we too are on a steady death march to our own graves.
We look fatalistically to the future and only see the bleak and foreboding parts, not the joy and light that comes from Choosing Life.
But my advice is this, let the light in!
When we only see the inevitability of our mortality we stop living and slowly die a bit faster each day.
Everyone grieves sometime.
When you are mourning, mourn as if your life is also on the line.
But shorten your grieving by choosing to truly live your best life.
Now.
This is what it means to Grieve With Grace.
God Bless,
